My Name is Nicholas Jensen

Everyone understands a film in their own way, I understand films by considering how they affect the people around me.

Growing up close to Hollywood was my introduction to stories. After graduating high school, I moved to Atlanta to get my film degree and pursue set work. This broad perspective on filmmaking has allowed me to understand the industry on a deeper level and stay open-minded to new perspectives.

The more I watch, the more I realize I love every film, even the ones I’ll never see. Read more below about my approach to filmmaking.

"Movies don't make themselves"
-Yes they do.

The three feature films I’ve DP’d, the two feature films I’ve directed, the 20+ short films I’ve made, the 4,000 films I’ve watched, and the countless films I’ve crewed on weren’t me. It's all possible because of the stories' desire to be heard.

This belief guides me that no matter how much I hone my craft, it’s not my credit. The credit goes to those who came before me; they carried the torch, and my story is a natural progression to what they were able to say.

Not to discredit myself or the millions of people in the industry. Blood, sweat, and tears go into every good story, but we all serve a common goal: to make people think about the world around them differently.

All films start nowhere

Boonies?

The sticks. In the middle of no where. Vast areas of rural land.

It is important to remember no matter how lost you feel, you're never alone as long as you have devotion to movies.

Short for Boondocks

Cutting-edge films made from blood, sweat, and passion.

Boonies make films to provide fresh perspectives, provoke new thoughts, and tell stories that have never been told before.
